Dedicato all’atmosfera terrestre, nostra guardiana, senza la quale nessuno di noi potrebbe esistere.
Un serpente, che nel buio avvolge le sue spire verso la nostra fragile casa, è metafora della vastità di problematiche concernenti la conquista dello spazio e ogni cosa al di fuori della nostra terra.
Nel buio, perchè nella vita mondana ci sembra che tutto è normale, che siamo e saremo sempre al sicuro in questo paradiso terrestre. Ma guardando tutto al di fuori, alla luce, ci si accorge di quanto siamo fragili nella condizione in cui siamo e di quanto abbiamo bisogno di questo sottile strato d’atmosfera, che ci divide dal vuoto esterno.
Dedicated to the Earth's atmosphere, our guardian, without which none of us could exist.
A snake, coiling its coils in the dark toward our fragile home, is a metaphor for the vastness of issues concerning the conquest of space and everything beyond our earth.
In the dark, because in mundane life it seems to us that everything is normal, that we are and always will be safe in this earthly paradise. But looking at everything outside, in the light, we realize how fragile we are in the condition we are in and how much we need this thin layer of atmosphere, which separates us from the outer void.
